This program comes as an alternative to using the default, official Radio Paradise's utility to listen to the well-known radio channel. Unlike the official utility, this application is more intuitive, has a nicely-designed interface, and lives on your Menu Bar.
The tool comes with a small window showing the integrated player. This screen is separated from the app's menu that's located on your status bar. You can pause and resume streaming, check the artwork of the song that's currently playing, and share tune information via Facebook or Twitter account directly from the mini-player's screen.
The menu from your status bar gives you access to detailed information regarding the song that's currently playing on Radio Paradise. You will learn the artist and song name, lyrics, comments from other Radio Paradise users about the tune, etc. The app also gives you access to a list containing the names of the songs that played for the past 6 hours.
In addition, if you enter your Radio Paradise credentials (you can create an account on the homepage of the radio station) you can use the PSD (Play Something Different) option. You also have direct access to the Amazon and iTunes Store pages of the song that's currently playing in case you wish to purchase the tune.
After trying both apps, the official tool and Radio Paradise Menu, I must say the latter is much more efficient and nicely-designed. So, it's definitely worth trying this application if you're a Radio Paradise listener. In addition, the app is free.
