QuickIcons offers a convenient solution to create icons out of images. This way, you can use any of your personal photos to design great-looking icons. Since the source consists of genuine pictures stored on your computer, the resulting icons will stand out thanks to both their original content and their unique enhancement.

The program's interface is very simple and intuitive, so that anyone can use it without hassle. The developers' recommendation is to load images in a 1024x1024 standard size. However, you can add pictures that feature other sizes than the one already mentioned – yet, they won't be automatically resized, but positioned in the center of the working area with no choice to place it differently. Once the image is imported, you need to select the target platform for which you create the icon. Six options are available – iOS, Mac OS X, Android, Windows, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry. You can select one or multiple operating systems at once, and the program will make the same icon suitable for each of the destination platforms you selected. You will find the results saved in separate sub-folders, each corresponding to an operating system.

The application comes with a small built-in image editor that allows you to adjust and retouch the appearance of your icons. The visual effects refer to rounding corners, framing the image, applying light effects, and adding labels that indicate the license type of the program for which you created the icon.

Creating icons with this tool is very easy. There are no complicated functions to enable and the price is fair. The fact that it designs icons for multiple operating systems makes it more valuable.
