Quest Atlantis (QA) is an interactive learning and teaching program that utilizes a 3D multi-user virtual environment to engage children ages 9-16 in educational activities. QA combines elements of the gaming industry with research-based educational strategies to motivate and educate users. Participants can explore virtual locations, complete educational quests, communicate with other users and mentors, and create their own avatars. The project is designed to provide children ages 9-16 with a transformative play experience that combines both online and offline learning activities.
