pulpTunes is an incredible app that lets you stream your iTunes library. I don't think incredible is strong enough of a word to describe how great this app is. It creates a web server on your Mac and you can access it from any computer that is connected to your network, or even over the Internet, if you do some port-forwarding.
The great thing about this app is that you only have to install pulpTunes on your Mac, and then you can use any capable web browser to play the songs that you have on iTunes. I tested it with Google Chrome and it worked like a charm out of the box. I didn't have to set up anything. It just worked. And the application even streams your playlists, so you can have non-stop music wherever you go. And these days, everyone has a modern web browser. So be it at work, home or school, you can listen to the iTunes playlist that you have at home.
pulpTunes runs from the Menubar. From there, you can configure it, manage users and passwords, and access the help. There is an option that is called "test locally" that launches the web browser and connects to the web server automatically, so you can test the app.
All in all, this is an excellent app that is available for Windows, Mac OS X and even Linux. It works like a charm, it can be customized to your liking and it has many advanced features. It is a must have.
