This application protects the information stored in files and folders from prying eyes. This way, you prevent unwanted access to contents you intend to keep hidden from other users.

When you first open Protected Folder, you need to set a password for the program. Then, every time you use the app, you will enter the already configured combination of keys. This is the only way to login, lock, and respectively remove the security of selected files and folders. Using this software is as easy as possible. The interface is simple and very intuitive. You can either use the 'Add' button or simply drag and drop the files and folders into the tools panel to set the protection. The program allows you to apply three security modes, which are available within the Option menu; namely, you can hide the files for Explorer and other browsing programs, as well as deny the read or the write access of contents. Depending on the mode you decide to enable, you will not be able to see, run, copy, read, move, delete, or modify the chosen files.

What's more, if you want specific contents never to be locked, you can add them to the 'Exclude List'; with this procedure, you have the certainty that you will not hide by accident crucial files which are essential in your work.

All in all, Protected Folder is a good application that you may find useful in case other users have access to you computer, and you don't want some confidential information to be disclosed to them.
