PrivateTunnel is a Mac utility that helps you protect your privacy while browsing the web. With its help, you can access geographical-restricted websites, hide your IP address with just a few clicks, and protect your Mac from cyber threats.
Before using this program on your Mac, you first need to create a personal account on the homepage of the developer. Afterwards, use the credentials to log into the app's interface and select a VPN server from the offered list. The application immediately connects to the server and displays your new IP address on its main screen.
The utility lets you use up to 2GB worth of upload and download data for free. You can acquire more credit from the homepage of the developer.
However, the application comes with an important disadvantage: it disconnects you from the Internet the minute you deactivate the privacy protection. You will need to reconfigure your default network settings or switch to a different type of connection (for example, Wi-Fi).
To me, the aforementioned flaw is a deal breaker. Even though the program comes with cheap rates and immediately connects to any of the selected VPN servers, I'd still opt for another application to protect my privacy while browsing the web.
