Preference Packer is a utility that can clear out useless and orphaned files from the Preferences folder located in your Mac's System Folder. The program will go through your Preferences folder and take note of the applications each file belongs to. It will then go through each hard drive you have connected to your Mac and see if those applications are still installed. If certain applications are not installed, it will move their associated preferences files to a folder, which you can choose to remove from your Mac. By removing unwanted preferences files, you can save disk space and keep your Mac running fast.
