In this regard, there are two main groups of paint styles. Portrait Paint retains the original colors of the photograph to create a classic-style portrait. Bright Color, in turn, can produce much more colorful and modern results by substituting the source colors with brighter ones.

If you feel you have the skills to create more personalized results, you will probably want to use the tool’s multiple possibilities to do so. In this regard, it is possible to alter texture by picking canvas or linen. Besides, you can experiment with different values for brush size, stroke length and bristle strength. Luckily, all of this can be done by simply dragging sliders. What is more, there is even the possibility to let the application use random values and see what they look like in the painting.

Although the latest versions of Portrait Painter have incorporated Detail Tool, which allows small brush strokes, I still feel that it would be nice if the the tool came gave the user more freedom to make interventions to the original image.
