Portable Mail is a shell script that open local copy of Mail using preferences stored in its application bundle. ~/Library/Mail and ~/Library/Caches/Mail folders and com.apple.Mail.plist preference file are temporary renamed with .pabu extension and a symlink is created to use portable ones.
