POIbase 

POIbase is an application that will allow you to establish a route through Europe depending on the places you want to visit, places, like museums, shops, etc, or depending on the traffic, speed cameras, camping sites and many more.

POI stands for “points of interest” and represents a huge database of locations from all around Europe. When you start the application, a scanning process searches for any sat-navigation connected devices that might be compatible with the application database. POIbase has a user-friendly interface from where you can easily download and purchase the latest points of interest, read the latest news, and change different settings.

After synchronizing with the device, if you select for example the “Car & Traffic” category you can choose only the Shell gas stations to be displayed on your map. You can see what car dealerships are in town, and you can also select the “Leisure” category which will show all cinemas, camping sites or any other leisure facilities that are near a place you want to visit.

POIbase can download the latest points of interest and also allows you to edit or add new ones and update them to the database in order to help the other users as well. Unfortunately, POIbase is available only in a few languages: English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
