Planet Quest is a wonderful screensaver that shows astonishing views of planets in the deep space in 3D. The application is completely customizable and allows you to select all the scene elements you wish to include, such as nebulae, galaxies, stars, supernova, moon, comets, clouds, planetary rings (smooth and particles), asteroids, among others. What is great about the program is that every new scene created is unique, so you won't see the same image twice.
Users can also set the time to change the scene (usually in seconds) or set to change it when pressing the space bar. You can even customize the cross-fade duration although this feature is only available on higher performance computers. Other options include the ability to show time and frame rate, low detail display, and many others. By default, the screensaver includes a theme music called "Planet Quest", but you can select a song or no music at all, or even play a playlist with your default music player. All in all, Planet Quest is a beautiful screensaver that can be fully customized to satisfy everybody's tastes.
