Ping Monitor is a handy Windows desktop gadget that offers a simple, straightforward and reliable solution to track a website, server, domain or IP address, using the ackownledged and reliable method of pinging that location. Using this neat little gadget you can monitor up to five local or remote servers and you can also choose the time interval when these servers get pinged. There are actually many more other additional features and advanced settings. Though it's a tiny desktop gadget that can be used with ease by anyone, this doesn't mean that it lacks options and functions. For example, it supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, it allows assigning aliases to the pinged server, it calculates the average ping, and more.
Ping Monitor also offers configurable graphs and other customization options. The size and colors, of both the graphs and the gadget's window, can be fully customized to your liking.
Since, after all, even if it's impressively feature-rich and reliable, it's just a simple desktop gadget, Ping Monitor is also free. Anyway, considering the many advantages it offers, I can say without much doubt that it's better than many other similar ping monitoring tools that even come with a price.
