If you like nothing better than a good old game of pinball, then Pinball HD is one of the most realistic simulators you can play on Mac.
Pinball HD not only features ultra realistic graphics and sound but each of the three tables has a different theme i.e. Wild West, The Deep and Jungle Style. The movement of the ball and flippers is extremely realistic and there's plenty of bonus flips and features to keep you interested for a while.
You can even change the camera angle from a dynamic "flying-table" view to the traditional static, "full table" view. There's also what's called a "Stereoscopic imaging option" which requires 3D glasses to give the game a 3D effect.
The developers have noted that some users have had problems starting the game with the plunger but this can be resolved by going to System Preferences, Keyboard, and setting the Key Repeat option to "Fast" and the Delay Until Repeat option to "Slow". There's also no hi-score table but this will surely be added in future updates.
