Picture Finder provides users with a quick and simple way of creating avatars for their Address Book accounts. With this tool you will no longer have to look for images for each of your accounts; Picture Finder uses multiple algorithms in order to generate avatars based on account names as well as their associated emails.
The application generates 5 types of images: by name (with one initial overlapping the other), Gravatar, Identicon, Wavatar, MonsterID and QR Code. Double clicking on a picture will prompt you to change the account avatar. I noticed that all the changes I made to the avatars were reflected instantly in Address Book.
Picture Finder should appeal to all users who have trouble finding the appropriate image for their accounts. The utility is designed to save time, and also offers a few creative alternatives, whether a nerdy QR Code or a silly monster avatar. Picture Finder currently includes no basic editing capabilities (like rotating, resizing or applying some effects); it is however quick, simple to use and most importantly, effective.
