PhotoToFilm is a Windows utility that enables you to create slideshows with minimum effort. You can use it to make movies from a multitude of pictures that were taken during a special event, such as a birthday party, graduation day or family gettogether.
The program is packed with easy-to-configure settings, allows you to attach text content and soundtracks to your videos, and takes a small amount of time to generate the resulting movies.
Unfortunately, PhotoToFilm comes with many disadvantages. For starters, it's compatible with a small amount of file formats (JPEG and BMP for images, MP3 for audio, and AVI for the generated video). Other slideshow creators let you choose between a wider variety of file formats. Furthermore, you have access to only a few output settings. For instance, you can't enter the preferred resolution (you can choose between 4 resolution profiles), select the proper bit rate, etc.
Another important disadvantage is the fact that it lacks a timeline panel where you can easily arrange the pictures, place transition effects, etc. This feature can be found in many other slideshow creators.
As you can see, PhotoToFilm provides you with a small number of useful features and many flaws. Personally, I'd look for a different slideshow maker. But it's worth giving it a try if the aforementioned disadvantages mean nothing to you.
