"Dots" is the tone used most when express the shade of a color. If you use Photoshop Tone Generator Plugin, various patterns can be stuck at any angles. The number of lines, the number of rows, and density can be specified at will, therefore all commercial patterns can be reproduced. "Newspaper" performs a half-tone process to the existing image. The half-tone of Photoshop is processed based on the size of a dot. Tone Generator is created by the number of lines and the resolution of an image. That is, even if you don't bother calculating the size of dots from resolution, can make an original tone immediately.
