Pepakura Designer allows you to create cutout paper crafts from 3D files in a very easy manner. You only need to open a 3D file and click on the Unfold option. An unfolded cutout model will be generated automatically.
You can modify some of the features of the model. For example, you can unfold manually the cutout model by specifying its height, width, depth and scale. Also, it is possible to edit the unfolded model to suit your needs. You can also edit the layout of the cutout parts according to your printing preferences. Of course, you will need a good quality printer and paper to get the best results.
The main disadvantage of the program is that you cannot create 3D models with it. Instead, you need to import 3D files created with another specialized program. It would be a very good feature to have both the 3D creation tools and the cutout modeling in the same program.
You can use the shareware version without any time limit. However, the Save and Export functions are disabled. If you like the program and want to get rid of these limitations, you will need to purchase a license.
