This application was created to offer you a simple and quick way to extract text content from your PDF documents. The program provides you with a user-friendly interface, supports batch processing, immediately converts the input documents, and uses minimum CPU resources while extracting text from PDFs.
All you need to do is load the PDF documents you wish to convert, choose which pages to extract text from, and select the destination folder for the output files. So, even average computer users can handle PDF to Text.
There's also an Upgrade button on the upper-right side of the screen. The application suggests you try a more powerful utility called PDF Converter Plus, created by the same developer as PDF to Text, that supports more output formats.
Unfortunately, the program occasionally fails to convert some PDF documents. In my testing, I imported three different PDFs. Two of the output files contained the text content from the loaded PDFs. Sadly, the latter was empty.
Taking into consideration the aforementioned flaw, I think you can find better solutions for converting PDF documents to TXT file format. Even though this program comes without a price tag, I still don't believe that it's worth installing it on your Mac if it doesn't work 100%.
