PDF Squeezer is a Mac utility that enables you to compress your PDF documents with minimum effort. The program provides you with a very intuitive interface, supports drag-and-drop actions, and gives you access to a wide variety of file compression settings.
This tool might prove to be of good use if you're dealing with a large PDF file collection and want to easily reclaim disk space by reducing their sizes. It might also come in handy if you want to share a large PDF via email to help you meet the upload size limit.
Before compressing any PDFs, you first need to configure the program's settings according to your needs. In the Preferences panel, you can find a multitude of output settings. In the Filters window, you can choose the preferred compression profile (you can create your own profile if needed).
Then, all you need to do is to drag-and-drop the PDF document over the program's interface and click the "Save" button. Sadly, you cannot save any documents if you're using the trial version of the tool. This means that you can't be 100% sure if the program actually does what's being stated on the homepage of the developer.
Another thing that bothers me is that PDF Squeezer occasionally runs slow, especially after launching it on my Mac.
All in all, it's up to you to decide if it's worth buying a program that you're unsure if it works like it's advertised on its homepage. Personally, I avoid this type of situations and look for alternatives.
