Paymastr is a payroll and accounting application. This free tool allows you to keep a record of current and past employees and the hours they have worked for you. You can add records about your employees to the application's database in a quite straightforward manner. For each new record, you can add the employee personal information, which includes first and last name, age, address, etc. However, you can't add pictures of the employees. Payment management is carried out quite simply. You input an employee's basic wage and then the application multiplies the hours worked by the basic wage. The application can also add taxes to the equation. You need to define the taxes the employees have to get deducted from their paychecks, and Paymastr will do it automatically.
Graphically, the application is rather ugly. It uses two different GUI's, one of them based on the Stargate TV show, which has nothing to do with Payroll or accounting and seems rather inadequate for such an application, and the standard one, which is better to choose.
Paymastr offers support for reports, which can be elaborated weekly, quarterly, or yearly. They are plain but very informative.
