Password Chest is a very light password manager for the Mac. The app uses the Password Safe v3 file format to store and protect passwords. This is an open-source standard that is multi-platform, so you may be able to use databases that you create with Password Chest on other platforms.
This application basically allows you to create a database and add passwords to it. This is a great way of keeping all your passwords in a single location for easy retrieval. You can add password-protection to the database, but I am not sure about how strong the protection is.
Adding a password is very easy. You have to fill in some details for every password that you save. You have to create a group for it or use an already-existing one. You can add a user name, a URL and some notes. There is a nice password generator that allows you to create strong passwords by specifying the length of the password and the types of characters that you want to include.
After you have added passwords to your database, you can easily copy them to the clipboard. By default, your password database will be locked after 99 minutes of inactivity but you should change this to a number like 5 minutes, just to be on the safe side.
