Paint Expert 3.2

Paint Expert is intended to create your own illustrations or edit existing ones. Good news is that the application supports opening and saving the most popular picture formats, including PNG, BMP, JPG, TIFF and GIF. Likewise, you can create a new image by simply pasting clipboard contents.

The application has a rather straightforward interface, very similar to those of other utilities of this type. Most of the window is a canvas and there is a toolbox on the left. Luckily, you can use numerous drawing tools, including various brushes, some shapes, a fill tool and an eraser. Likewise, there is a palette from where you can pick the exact foreground and background colors. A special mention is deserved by its support of layers, which allows you to manipulate objects without affecting those in the other layers. Similarly, you can just hide specific layers to help you focus on painting on another.

It is shame that Paint Expert has some limitations in terms of formatting text, which means you cannot use a different font type and size. What is more, it does not let you change text orientation and enable wrapping.

In short, Paint Expert is an easy-to-use application, which, depending on your skills, allows you to design beautiful illustrations. However, there may still be some unconformities so my advice is to explore the advantages of other similar utilities before making a decision.
