Pack Crystal XP is a shell pack that modifies your Windows XP files to give your system a new look that imitates the older Linux KDE interface. The download consists of a Zip file, containing an EXE installer. When you run it, you are presented with a list of components to modify (Internet Explorer, Log-on Screen, Outlook Express, Windows Media Player, etc.)
After a restart, your operating system will have a fresh new look that can be described as polished, shiny and blue. The appearance changes include almost everything: the taskbar, Start Menu, icons, animations, wallpaper. Although mouse pointers remain unchanged.
The functionality of the Start Menu will be slightly improved due to the replacement of some useful system shortcuts on the right side, making it look more organized and cleaner. The thinner title bars of applications and taskbar give a more elegant look overall.
This pack also includes a few more wallpapers that you can change if you don’t like the initial one.
If you’re a fan of the older KDE look or you’re simply tired of the old Windows XP appearance, you’ll probably appreciate this theme.
