Its GUI is well arranged and easy to use. It provides a graphic mode to place the bottles into the cellar. Cellars also can be modified and organized in different ways. Therefore, it's possible to manage more than one cellar.
Likewise, it allows setting the number of bottles of each kind of wine into the cellar, their price and the number of bottles consumed. The user can create tasting cards offering the possibility of scoring the wines. Its categories and management information can be customized by adding, editing or even deleting it.
Open Cellar generates different types of reports available in PDF format. Some information can be exported to XML format.
Some information is available online providing access to the website in order to share the wine info. It offers Manager Web Services to administer subscriptions to free wine services.
Different versions are available. It works on Windows/Mac/Linux platforms. Likewise, there is a mobile version, and it runs on PocketPC devices.
