Online Boxing 2D is a small game based on the sport of boxing. As the name suggests, it is played online, so basically it is a multi-player boxing game. Although the developers already created a 3D version of the game, the 2D version is still played continuously. If you expect splendid graphics, you won't find them here; the game looks simple enough: just a couple of 2D sprites and simple animations. But graphics is not what this game is about.
With a small download (although it can be played from a browser) you get this great game. You create an account and your fighter, choosing from different types of body, hair and colors. After that, you are sent to a lobby where you can create or arrange matches. Then you are on to the fight.
You will control your fighter's punches (obviously), you can duck down and cover yourself too. At the top of the screen you have to watch 4 different bars, which represent Head Energy, Body Energy, Punching Power and stamina. You must balance them in order to succeed. Matches are really challenging, especially if you are fighting a skilled boxer. There is a fairly big community behind this game so you can join the forums and ask for matches as well. It is one of those games so simple and fun you get surprised by. Sometimes, though, matches have some lag which can get annoying. Nevertheless, the game is really recommendable, because you can play it almost anywhere.
