OneTouch Software is a diabetes management application aimed at organizing results reported by OneTouch blood glucose meters which are provided with data ports. The utility is free; however you need to purchase the OneTouch Interface Cable so that you can connect the meter to your computer.

Data of several patients can be input and organized with the help of the utility. Patient data includes general information, such as name and date of birth, blood glucose level, diabetes type, taken medication, regimen and complications. A search tool is available for finding a certain patient in the list. After downloading the meter readings stored on the blood glucose meter and entering them in the data base, certain reports can be processed by the application, such as glucose trend, pie charts, histograms or average readings. For example, the pie chart report will display glucose readings that fall within and without the target range for each meal slot, in percentages.

The glucose trend report helps users track changes that occur in glucose readings from one day to another, within a date range of choice. These reports are useful for both patients and the doctors who have them under observation. The reports can be printed, faxed or emailed from within the application.
