OLWeb.TV is an ad-infested online TV player. Of all the things I could say about this otherwise average and uninteresting online TV player, the fact that it’s plagued with ads is by far the most relevant. Almost every time I tried to switch to a different TV station or stream, ads were played or displayed, either on separate, newly-opened pages, or inside the player’s window. Even visiting its official webpage opened some ad-displaying popups. Now that we’ve established what the most remarkable flaw of this player is, let’s move to the smaller ones: for example, its reliability. It might play some of the listed TV streams, and it might as well not play them. Invoking connectivity issues or the lack of specific plug-ins, a large number of TV streams couldn’t be played by this app. Adding other TV streams to the already-listed ones is not supported as well.
OLWeb.TV also has a few advantages. For example, its interface is easy-to-use and intuitive. It categorizes the available TV stations by their genre and country. It’s also free, if you’re willing to ignore all the ads it displays.
To sum it all up, there’s no good reason to bother trying this tool. There are plenty of other similar free TV players on the market, and you might even find some that really work at displaying the streams of TV stations and not just ads.
