OIDS.X is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.1.3 or higher. It can run in thousands or millions of colors modes. OIDS.X uses OpenGL for lightning fast graphics and smooth gameplay. All of the sounds have been recreated, (some of them are new) in 16-bit CD-quality. All of the graphics have been redone by Drew Pauley, Bill Densmore and Kirk Baker. There are new visual effects like larger stars, galaxy images in the background, particle effects and much improved explosions.
