O&O AutoBackup has been developed specifically to help you create and carry with you reliable and fully synchronized copies of your valuable data in any external backup device. When installed in your system, the program will monitor your external drives and will start the synchronization process without requiring further action from you.
The first thing you need to do once the program is running in your system is perform an initial backup task. AutoBackup can then be configured to run in background mode and perform update tasks automatically as soon as an external device is detected. This update process may take two shapes – it can either add all new files and overwrite those that have been modified, or mirror the set of files and folders selected in the external drive, which includes deleting those that can no longer be found in their source location. The latter process is referred to as “synchronization”.
The program’s interface is simple and requires no specific skills on the user’s side, so that anyone can benefit from it. Actually, once you have configured it to perform exactly as you want it to, you will not need to use it much as all synchronization processes are fully automated.
