nxtvepg is a decoder software package designed to provide free TV programme listings for networks in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. It was developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in 1995-1997 to offer an "electronic TV magazine" inside analog TV sets. The transmission protocol is based on teletext, but with a more compact format.
