Note Mania is a simple and handy note manager that allows you to create sticky notes for your desktop to remind you of important events or tasks, and it also includes a fantastic calendar. The application sits silently in your system tray and allows you to control everything from there. To create a new note you can click on the system tray icon or click the right mouse button there and select "new note". You can pick an icon for your notes, choose a category, make a note appear on the calendar, add an attachment, select the text font and color, pick a skin and sound, and adjust many other things. For the calendar, you can select the background color or image, and do a few other customizations.
A great thing about this program is that you can set it to receive notes from subscribed feeds or configure your own. You can create as many notes as you want and move them all around the desktop as you like. You can even select the opacity, alignment and text margins. The program also includes a pad that shows you all the notes you have created. The program is really simple and intuitive, and fully customizable.
