No, Fungible Tokens! is a free collective digital collection game where the players aim to collect all 10,000 digital cards with the help of other player’s from the community. Player’s get one free card a day—which means it would take nearly three decades to collect them all alone—but it is possible to enter unique codes to redeem cards.
This game can be likened to other digital card collection games, such as Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, although there is no game mechanic beyond collecting the cards in No, Fungible Tokens!
The developer of No, Fungible Tokens! made this game as a social experiment loosely based on NFTs. Player’s will need to cooperate and share with other players if they have any hope of collecting all of the cards, there is no facility for this cooperation in the game, however, forcing players to communicate through forums and social media.
The 10,000 digital cards are split into different types that are signified by their border color. White cards are the most common, with bronze being less common, silver being rarer still, gold being very rare, and a singular blue card that is unique. Each card features a number, a pixel art character, a name, and a code that can be shared with other players.
As well as incentivizing players to cooperate to collect all the cards, the game also offers streak bonuses when the game is played every day. These bonuses can be used to redeem more codes every day, making it possible to collect cards faster than otherwise possible. The game features basic graphics, some audio, and has a number of options for viewing the collected cards.
