Nice to Recover Data for Mac is a data recovery application. It is nearly identical to Nice to Recover File for Mac, with the exception that the latter can't recover lost partitions and Nice to Recover Data for Mac can. There are four recovery modes: Quick Recovery, Deep Recovery, Lost Partition Recovery and Photo Recovery.
The first mode lets you quickly scan for deleted files in any of your connected drives. The second mode does basically the same, but it allows you to apply filters. In other words, you are only scanning for a specific file type. The third mode can be of help if you have lost a partition on one of your drives. This is a more delicate operation and it should be done very carefully. The last option is designed for the recovery of photos.
In my testing, I used the Quick Recovery and Deep Recovery modes. Both worked fine, and the filtering options found in the latter work well.
If you are going to buy a data recovery app from Nice To Recover Inc., you might as well buy this one. It is the most complete one they have to offer.
