NESSTAR Explorer is an end user interface for searching, analysing and downloading data and documentation via the Internet. NESSTAR Publisher is used by data archives to disseminate data and documentation. With NESSTAR you are able to (1) locate multiple data sources across national boundaries, (2) browse detailed metadata about these data, (3) analyze and visualize data online, and (4) download the appropriate subsets of data in one of a number of formats for local use. The general aim of the project is to develop a common interface on the Internet to the data holdings of a large number of providers and disseminators of statistical information world-wide.
