Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 follows the same gimmicks as the previous NFS versions. You drive fast and luxurious super cars around different tracks and you occasionally get chased by the police. The game is not a driving simulator, it is an arcade racing game that allows you to drive fast and feel the rush of speed. The big eye candy for this game are the car names it has licensed: Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, Lamborghini, and BMW among others; this allows you to drive the fastest cars in the world.

The game offers several tracks based in four different environments, each track has its shortcuts and small amenities that can keep you entertained for a while. As the name suggests, you can chose if you are going to be chased by the police while racing, and the game even allows you to be the police trying to stop racers breaking all speed limits.

Although on paper everything looks like the same formula that brought success to the NFS series, this version has a small number of annoying things. First of all, the controls are sluggish and the car physics a bit over the top, not to count the average graphics it has. The game is a good PC game that follows the NFS series very well, and its a definite choice for NFS fans, but you can probably find something better out there.
