Name Mangler is a utility that enables you to batch rename your files with minimum effort. The application supports drag-and-drop actions and batch processing, immediately changes the names of the imported files, and doesn't slow down your Mac while getting the job done.
All you need to do is to import the files you wish to rename, select the preferred output profile (for example, replace a word with another), and click over the "Rename" button from the bottom-right side of the interface. The application will immediately apply the necessary changes, without slowing down your Mac in the process.
This program might prove to be of good use when cataloging your photo or video collection. It might also come in handy if you want to give your documents more suggestive names. For example, you can attach the date when a document was created to its filename.
In my testing, the utility worked flawlessly. It renamed the imported files almost instantly. A great aspect is that you can undo the renaming process if needed.
Still, you can find cheaper or even free batch renaming tools for Mac. However, they don't provide you with as many output profiles as the Name Mangler application. It's up to you to decide if it's worth buying this program for you Mac or try one of the free alternatives.
