Mystery Case Files - Return to Ravenhearst is a wonderful hidden object game from the series which includes challenging puzzles, but with a darker and deeper tone. Unlike many hidden object games, Return to Ravenhearst allows you to freely roam from room to room, add items to your inventory that can be used later to unlock new areas or solve puzzles, and investigate sparkly objects of interest in a scene. In the game you play a detective who is sent to the desolate Ravenhearst Manor to find answers about the apparition of Emma Ravenhearst's spirit. Once in the manor, you will discover that there are more than one ghost there and you must do whatever is possible to free them. This hidden object game is pretty original since there are scenes within scenes. You can click on certain parts of a scene that is zoomed and you must find objects on the list. The scenes are very well-designed, but there are some tiny objects that are really hard to see. However, it offers unlimited hints so you will never get stuck. The production values are also amazing including the dust particles suspended in the air and characters that are fully animated that they look real. Mystery Case Files - Return to Ravenhearst is a perfect combination of hidden object and adventure gameplay, offering excellent challenges and fun, and it definitely deserves a try.
