Mushroom Musume is a free role-playing game where you can grow your own daughter from a small mushroom. This interactive story from MortallyMoonstruckGames features a multitude of “mushrooms” that you’ll be able to raise. Each one has its own unique qualities that you can help develop or choose to leave as is.

Similar to games like ERROR143 and Good Luck, Minutes Man!, Mushroom Musume can lead to different outcomes depending on the choices you make. It is also currently under development so more options and routes will continue to come in future updates.

Fill up your almanac

As previously mentioned, Mushroom Musume lets you choose different options when raising your daughter before they develop into a unique mushroom type. This gives you the freedom to play as you wish, without restricting yourself to making the “right” options just to get a good ending. You’ll also be able to view the mushrooms you’ve collected in a handy almanac that you can use as a reference.

The game uses pixel graphics that give it a retro vibe. Its aesthetics make it much more unique and visually appealing to a wide range of players. In order for you not to breeze through the game too quickly, this indie title also offers a good amount of difficulty that will require you to strategize properly in order to collect all the available mushrooms.

Players can also fully enjoy the creepy yet heartwarming storyline that this game comes with. However, as updates continue to roll in, some

saved files can get lost

after updating to a newer version. While there is no foolproof way to troubleshoot this, the best course of action is to make sure you have multiple saved files in order not to lose your progress.
