Movie Maker for Mac allows you to create your own video clips. The app supports importing a wide range of file formats, including not only video but also audio and pictures. It is good that the tool looks similar to other products of its type, which means you can probably start using it without even needing to consult any documentation.
Its workflow is simple: import resources, arrange them on the timeline, make any necessary modifications and export the resulting clip. Luckily, dragging and dropping the imported items onto the timeline is supported. In this respect, you can work with multiple audio and subtitle tracks. Likewise, there are layers for text and transitions. It is a shame, however, that you cannot arrange video in layers.
Fortunately, there are various built-in tools intended for extracting a specific segment from the source footage, adding text captions and applying effects. Moreover, there is a great collection of transitions you can use to connect one shot to the following more smoothly.
Luckily, you can preview your work while you are still in the creation process. Once you are satisfied, it is possible to share the results by saving them to files, uploading them to the cloud or exporting them to your iTunes library.
In general, Movie Maker for Mac produces decent homemade video clips, which you can share with your family and friends. Regrettably, the app does not seem to work well on Mojave, as there were various crashes during the trials. In this respect, it is good news that there is a demo of this product for you to check it on your system.
