As a private detective, formerly of the FBI and down on luck (and love),you know to trust your instincts, and the case that she wants you to take terrifies you - as it is similar in nature to a case that went terribly wrong when you were with the Bureau, in this story of love, redemption, mystery, and cosmic horror.
