Monitor Calibration Wizard is a color profile creator for Windows. The application will help you calibrate your system so that you can get rid of the nasty colors provided with some modern monitors when shipped. Those colors tend to look either terribly bright or terribly dark, and many people turn up returning monitors based on those colors. However, not all is lost. If you want your monitor to display colors the way it should, you need to calibrate it. There are a bunch of calibrators out there, but most are expensive. There are however a couple of free alternatives, and this is one of those. The application will take you through a rather lengthy wizard that will end up calibrating your display. Of course, you need to provide feedback on each step. The problem is that you might not really know what you are doing. And this is where the thing I like about this application kicks in. It has a help button on each screen, which you can read to clear some concepts. That is definitely an advantage. After all, who knows what native response is? Not me.
