Mini Your Photos is an application which allows you to compress your digital photos. As a consequence, the original image is saved as a new file featuring a highly-reduced file size. In addition, the tool works as an image converter. Namely, it converts from popular image formats into compressed JPEG and PNG file types.

The program is extremely simple and easy to use. It comes with a plain and straightforward interface, without any toolbars or buttons whatsoever. All you need to do is drag and drop a photo within the program's main window, wait for a while till the compression process is over, and then drag the resulting file towards a storing folder.

Previously, you are supposed to set the quality of the compressed file and to choose a format to save it into a JPEG or PNG file. These are the only tasks you need to perform in order to get a smaller-sized image file. The compression level ranges from 30% to 80%.

The program performs broadly well, although it froze a couple of times while testing it. I like that it recalls the settings you just configured so that you don't need to access the preference window on every use. Yet, the worst aspect is that you can't save the results automatically into a target folder. It is rather unhandy to keep performing drag-and-drop, mainly since it prevents you from processing multiple files at once.

However, the utility might be useful when you need to store a huge amount of photos and you don't have enough room on your disk drives. Furthermore, a small-sized image file is easier to upload to online sharing sites or to include on a presentation held in front of an audience.
