Minesweeper 101 is a very simple strategy game for the Mac. If you have been a Windows user at any point in your life, then you know this classic game. Mac users might not, because the game doesn't come with Macs. Basically, in Minesweeper, you need to clear a field of mines by clicking on a cell to reveal what is under it. There is a set number of mines in each level. If you click on one, you will lose. In this version of Minesweeper, the first click always lands in a mine-free cell. After your initial click, you will see a group of numbers on the screen. Each number represents the number of mines that are located in adjacent cells. With these numbers, you can figure out where the mines are to avoid them. The game requires some patience but it is very fun to play, especially when you get the hang of it and try the hardest difficulty settings.
To win the game, you need to clear the field without triggering a mine. There is a timer, so your score will be how fast you won the game. From the Preferences window, you can change the timer and hide it until the end of the game, you can enable marks and replays and change the colors used in the game.
