Micon provides users with a simple way of changing the icon of any file or folder. The application employs a drag-and-drop interface for quickly replacing between target and source icons. With this tool you will be able to change the look of the most visited disk locations like the Applications, Desktop, Computer, Downloads or Documents folders. Please note that Micon includes no icon sets of its own, you will have to use your own.
The utility automatically extracts the icon from any source file dropped on its window. Once the target icon has been defined, users may replace it with the source icon. This action can be reverted by pressing the Remove button. All icon sources are retained in a history log; it is available either as a drop-down menu or a panel where you can remove or add new icons.
Micon is not the only application that can replace icons and in fact you can do this without the aid of an external tool; it is however a faster and more convenient alternative than having to change icons via the Get Info window.
