MeOCR is a simple yet very accurate and efficient solution to extract texts from images. It deploys the well-known OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to let you convert your scanned documents or images that contain texts to editable text documents. It outputs either to simple, plain TXT files that can be opened and modified with pretty much any text editor, or to Microsoft Word documents.
I really like about MeOCR the fact that it's reliable and precise when detecting text from images or scanned documents, and that's a very important aspect for any OCR-based text recognition tool. It was accurate both when I tested it using the provided sample file and when using my own scanned images that contained text parts.
MeOCR is also very simple to use, maybe a bit too simple when thinking of experienced users that would've enjoyed a more hands-on approach and more thorough control over every little aspect of the text recognition and extraction process. Anyway, beginners will have no problem using this intuitive and easy-to-use program.
Cutting long story short, MeOCR is a really nice tool that offers a convenient and accurate solution to extract texts from scanned documents and images and save them to editable text documents.
