Meghdoot is a mobile application developed by ICRISAT, to provide the latest crop information to farmers, and assist them in making timely decisions. It collects and compiles IMD, IITM, ICAR advisories, and data from IMD’s regional monitoring stations, and feeds the information to farmers in an easy-to-use format.
With the Meghdoot application, farmers can access timely and detailed crop information in real-time, and make informed decisions on an issue as it arises. It is also equipped to gather and provide district-wise and crop-wise data on a variety of crops, as well as the temperature, rainfall, UV index, wind speed and direction, air quality index, and atmospheric pressure.
