McSolitaire is a free Solitaire game for Mac OS X. It allows you to play the classic game of solitaire on your Mac. The game features excellent graphics and quite a few interesting features. But graphics alone make it a worth experience. My mom plays Solitaire on Windows 7 a lot, and this is a game she would like. The cards are huge at full-screen, which is a plus for those who don't see well.

The game itself is the same one. Though there are a few different modes available. When you first launch the game, you will probably notice the word "Random" on the title of your game. This means that the game is random in nature. In other words, it may or may not be solvable, just like the real game. You can change the game mode to "solvable" which will ensure that the game can be completed entirely.

I am not very good at Solitaire and I am unfamiliar with most other solitaire games for Mac and Windows. But I can tell you a couple of things that I liked as a beginner user. First, you can simply click cards that come out of the deck and they will automatically be moved to any available spot. This saves me the trouble of figuring out where they go, but advanced users might not like this "help". In the Game menu, there is an option that reads "Game Over?". This will tell you if the game can continue or not.

All in all, this is a nice solitaire game that has interesting features and, most importantly, it is free.
