MathXpert is a Windows utility that comes in handy to students learning calculus and algebra. With its help, you can learn how to solve certain types of algebra problems and how to easily generate complex graphs based on functions.
The program is packed with a wide range of problem samples, a comprehensive help manual, and a user-friendly interface. You can choose between 3 types of activities: "Work a problem", "Make a graph", and "Run a demo". The latter gives you access to an interactive guide that teaches you how to work with the application.
The "Work a problem" activity mode enables you to solve various types of math equations. You can enter your own equations or solve the ones that are offered by the program. However, you cannot write your own problems if you use the trial version of the utility. You have access to various hints and you can let the app immediately solve the problems for you (it also shows you instructions to help you figure out how it obtained the result).
The app gives you access to a wide range of graph function samples. Again, if you work with the trial version of the program, you cannot create your own graphs.
My only issue with the utility is that it's a bit pricey, especially if you consider the fact that it was developed for students. Still, it's definitely worth it if you plan on using the program often.
