Marsyas is a software framework designed to enable rapid prototyping and experimentation with audio analysis and synthesis, particularly related to music signals and Music Information Retrieval. The goal is to provide a flexible and extensible architecture that enables efficient exploration of algorithms and offers fast performance for real-time audio analysis and synthesis tools. The framework includes a variety of existing building blocks which form the basis of most published algorithms in Computer Audition, and can be extended.
It converts video formats into FLV, AVI, MP3, and YouTube-compatible file types.
