ManageEngine Desktop Central is an application developed by ZOHO Corp.The application is designed to work as a central managing system for several servers and computers. With this software all the servers and computers of your company can be administered and maintained from a central location. Aside from the obvious remote connection feature, you can manage patch installations and the system tools. One of the great things for corporations is that Desktop Central supports directory services, such as Active Directory, Windows Workgroup and Novell eDirectory. You can also modify the security settings of each computer using security policies, similar to those in AD, as well as disabling devices, including USB ports. Another nice thing is that it can detect programs installed in each PC, that makes it possible to determine if there is a pirated or other prohibited application installed in the PCs. You can manage computers in LAN or WAN in the same way. This software is really time and money saver, designed specially for large companies.
